Radiant Logistics Expands Again with Transcon Shipping Acquisition

Radiant Logistics has announced its latest acquisition, adding California-based ocean and air freight forwarder Transcon Shipping to its growing portfolio. The deal, which bolsters Radiant’s international shipping capabilities, is expected to drive significant revenue and operational synergies.

El Segundo-based Transcon specializes in full and less-than-container-load ocean shipments along the trans-Pacific trade lane, with additional air and ground services from key U.S. hubs such as Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. Its international agent network primarily serves the furniture, recreational automotive, and consumer goods industries.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but Radiant stated that a portion of the purchase price will be contingent on Transcon’s future performance. Transcon generated $75 million in revenue in 2024, with $4 million in EBITDA. By comparison, Radiant reported $35.8 million in adjusted EBITDA over the past year, although its peak earnings before the recent freight downturn exceeded $80 million annually.

The acquisition strengthens Radiant’s global reach and enhances its service offerings. Transcon will be fully integrated into the Radiant brand throughout 2025, with company President Terry Lynch stepping into a new role as Vice President of Global Network Development at Radiant.

Radiant, headquartered in Renton, Washington, continues its aggressive acquisition strategy. The company ended its fiscal second quarter on December 31 with $20 million in cash, little debt, and no outstanding balance on a $200 million credit facility. Over the past 18 months, Radiant has completed eight acquisitions, reinforcing its position as a major player in the global logistics industry.

With the addition of Transcon Shipping, Radiant Logistics is further positioning itself to capitalize on expanding international trade flows while integrating new service capabilities into its platform. The move reflects a broader industry trend of consolidation among logistics providers as they seek scale and efficiency in an increasingly competitive market.
