OneRail Raises $42M to Optimize Last-Mile Logistics

OneRail just raised $42 million in Series C funding to enhance its product offerings and grow its team.

The funding was led by Aliment Capital, a venture group based in Los Angeles. With this round, OneRail has raised a total of $109 million to date. Bill Catania, the company’s founder and CEO, explained why this funding matters. He said it’s about improving how orders are handled right from the start to tackle common problems like split orders, out-of-stock items, or worse, orders being canceled altogether. For businesses, these are nightmares, and OneRail is stepping in to fix them.

The main focus is to enhance OneRail’s software platform, OmniPoint. This platform streamlines the entire last-mile delivery process, making it smoother and faster for companies and, ultimately, for customers.

Bill and his wife Lisa founded OneRail in Orlando, Florida, back in 2018. Their idea was to simplify the chaos of last-mile logistics, and they’ve built a network that connects shippers with a whopping 12 million drivers.

OneRail isn’t working alone. Along with Aliment Capital, other investors in this funding round include eGateway Capital, Florida Opportunity Fund, and existing supporters like Arsenal Growth Equity, Piva Capital, Bullpen Capital, Las Olas Venture Capital, Chicago Ventures, Gaingels, and Mana Ventures.

A report by McKinsey & Co. pointed out that venture capital investments in logistics have dropped by 90% over the past two years. Despite this, OneRail managed to secure significant funding. Bill Catania even mentioned in a blog that nearly 90% of retailers are still struggling with last-mile delivery because of technical glitches and high costs.

Companies like Amazon and Walmart rely on efficient last-mile solutions to keep customers happy, and OneRail is helping businesses—big and small—stay competitive. With this new funding, they’re addressing some of the most persistent challenges in logistics head-on.

By leveraging their expertise and resources, Lading Logistics aims to provide efficient and reliable international shipping and logistics solutions for their clients.
